Bigi, born in 1974, grew up between France and Italy. This dual culture experiences is credited with creating his unique chic and beautiful approach to design. After graduating from Art School he began a career in webdesign within SSII. It was at this stage that he began to sketch sofas, decorative objects and, what would become his self-professed obession, chairs.
In 2005 he turned his passion into a living founding his own company, Helldesign di Stefano Bigi in Milan and has gone on to create work for clients such as Amura, Galotti&Radice, IVM, Nomon, La Cividina and Porada.
