Simon Ma

Ma is one of China's most well known and internationally accalimed artists. Born in Hong Kong in 1974, he spent his childhood learning the art of traditional Chinese painting before seriously embracing Music, Art and Design at the age of 11. At the age of 13, he moved to London, where he started experimenting with art and design.

He attended the Bartlett School of Architecture at University College of London, majoring in Architecture & Urban Planning, where he experimented with different forms of "crossover" in art, design and various domains. After obtaining his master's degree, he headed to Shanghai and founded his own company, Ma.Design.Co.ltd - dedicated to promoting art, design and lifestyle in China.

During his career he has successfully collaborated with various major international brands, like Bvlgari, Ferrari, Hublot, Lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari, Chow Tai Fook, Remy Martin 1898, Ducati and Chivas 18. His paintings have been collected by celebrities, foreign Consul Generals, hotels, corporate collections and mnay private collections and he was appointed at Art and Cultural Ambassador of the United Nations.

Ma's artwork and collections have been exhibited all over the world including the Italian Pavilion for Shanghai Expo 2010, Shanghai Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), Zhejiang Art Museum, XuBeiHong Museum of Art, Ningbo 1844 Museum of Contemporary Art, Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts in Taiwan, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Patricia and Philip Frost Art Museum in Miami.

He was appointed Sino-Italian Cultural Ambassador in 2012 and in 2014, the Cultural Ambassador for the Hong Kong Kockey Club.
