Matteo Nunziati
Born in Bologna in 1972, Nunziati is considered one of the best interior desginers of his generation. He Milan studio, Nunziati Studio, was founded in 2000 focusing interior architecutre and design. Nunziati has collaborated with leading furniture, lighting and object design companies such Gruppo Feg, Poliform, Matteograssi, Poltrona Frau, Tisettanta - Halifax, Gruppo Martini Illuminazione, Fontata Arte, Medea - Mobilidea, Rapsel, Lualdi Porte, Listone Giordano and Florim.
Nunziati specialises in designing luxury hotels, wellness centres, spas and residential projects and has been awarded commissions across the world including Italy, Switzerland, Poland, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the Maldives and China.
His designs have won him several international prizes including the Good Design Award 2011, the Wallpaper Design Award 2011 and the Cityscape Awards 2013 - Saudi Arabia for the best architectural project.
Nunziati has also been a prominent figure in academic design being "Project Leader" at the Domus Academy, Milan on the "Master in Interior Design" and the "Hotel Design" short-course since 2004, working with the Department of Industrial Design/ Graduate Institute of Innovation and Design at the National Taipei University of Technology in Taiwan in 2004, teaching at the Ateneo Creativo - IDI Interior Design Institute, Milan in 2005, and teaching on a "Low Cost Hotel" short-course in 2007, a collaboration between the Domus Academy, Milan and the University of the Arts, Saint Martins, London, UK
In 2006 he participated at the exhibition "50+2y Italian design" at the National Art Museum of China, Beijing and in 2007 and 2008 organised events at the "Abitare il Tempo" Fair in Verona, Italy, at MIPIM, Cannes, France, at Cityscape, Dubai, and at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile Milan, Italy.
